i am currently a full time college student studying theatre. with that being said, my schedule consists of work, school & productions which eat up a ton of my time. while my real life is a priority, i try to remain a relatively medium to high activity blog with spikes on weekends & during vacations. however, i am a very slow writer & some threads pique my interests more than others.

this is a fairly selective blog. i will write with those who are not mutuals. my starters, starter calls & memes are open to mutuals & non mutuals unless i have stated otherwise. i make a conscious effort to browse every blog that follows me but, please know i am usually on mobile & cannot always get a feel for your blog straight away so it may take some time for me to follow you back. also, since I use the mobile app, I do not always see when someone starts following me so, that will also affect the speed in which i browse your blog & follow back.

biography
deep in the heart of france, a baby girl was born. making a family of three into four; a stoic king, a kind-hearted queen, a young prince and now a wide-eyed princess, named juliet. they lived happily in their shining castle until tragedy struck. the queen fell ill and soon passed away. devastated by the loss of his beloved wife, the king blamed his daughter, believing the second pregnancy contributed to the sickness that took her life. the father and daughter never connected. he held his daughter to impossible standards and openly preferred his eldest son, adam. though, his brother was sweeter in their youth, he grew to be as selfish and unkind as their father. fortunately, juliet found solace in the castle staff; looking to them as the family she never had. after the death of their father, juliet hoped such an event would change her brother’s attitude. unfortunately it did not. feeling trapped and unloved, juliet barely left her room, only emerging to read in the library or to eat dinner alone. growing tired of her brother’s selfish and arrogant nature, juliet finally musters up the courage to stand up to him. as he prepared for another grand ball, the siblings engaged in a terrible argument, ending in juliet declaring her hatred for her brother and promising to leave and never come back.
and leave she did, despite protests from the castle staff. only packing a few things and little money, the princess grabbed a cloak and rode away from the castle. the girl rode until a terrible storm caused her to stop. she found herself in the village of villeneuve. with no place to stay, juliet slept in the stables alongside her horse that night. little did she know, that same night her brother would be cursed to become a beast and that she would wake up the next morning with no memory of him. after a week of sneakily staying in the stables, she was found out by one of the stable hands and subsequently kicked out. a few days later, the girl is found sleeping and terribly sick near the steps of the local cathedral by père robert and a nun. after being nursed back to health by them both, the pére offers her a place to stay in his home. having no memory of her life before and no plan for the future, she agrees. as the years pass, juliet settles into a routine living in villeneuve with père robert, helping out at the church and assisting maurice (belle's father) with his art. even without her memory, juliet often has deja vú and suffers from terrible nightmares of the past she does not remember.

VERSE 001
takes place before the enchantress’s curse. a young princess juliet lives in a secluded castle in the hidden heart of france with her father and brother. she is very clearly not her father’s favorite and in turn, she was practically raised by the staff. the girl is very quiet and self-conscious as she often falls victim to the cruelness of her father and brother. she finds solace in poetry and the kindness of the castle staff. although, she spends the majority of her time alone in her room or in the library. after her father passes away, her brother’s cruel behavior intensifies as does her misery.
VERSE 002
takes place during the enchantress's curse. after a heated argument with her brother, juliet leaves the castle vowing to never return. with her heart set on settling down in paris, she stops in villeneuve to seek shelter from the storm. after a few days, the girl decides to settle down there rather than finishing her trip to paris. while living in villeneuve, she works as a florist, and assists maurice with his art. she lives in the church with the pere before finding a small cottage for herself. in addition to being a florist and artist, she also helps pere robert with church services. due to the parameters of the curse, juliet has no memory of her brother or the castle staff. however, she constantly feels deja vu every now and again, and has nightmares about her previous life almost nightly.
VERSE 003
takes place after the enchantress’s curse is broken. with the curse lifted and her memory restored, juliet decides to return home in the hopes of making amends with her brother and finally being apart of a family again. while at the castle, she uses the florist skills she acquired while living in villeneuve to help keep up the palace gardens. the princess also acts as a political advisor to her brother, and works to amend ties between france and other countries as well as between france and its people.

juliet is an aspiring painter from an affluent family living in paris (or new york city depending on the thread). after attending two years of university studying art, she decides to pursue freelance work; book illustrations, commissions, her specialty is live painting special events.

legend tells that the fair juliet of verona wished upon this star to find romeo again and he appeared at her balcony. the star that shines brightest when the one you love is by your side. the star that shines through a thin curtains when a lovesick heart yearns for it’s beloved. the star that lovers wish upon to bring them together. the star that the heartbroken curse when their love is unrequited or taken away. the star that the joyous thank when their love is reciprocated, when their love is everlasting. the lover’s star watches from the heavens as love triumphs again and again, as a species so often dominated by hatred resolves to choose love. the lover’s star wonders what it feels like to love and be loved like those on earth. she wonders how those who have seen her light can still feel hate and pain. perhaps the heavens heard her plea, a rupture in space rattles the stars and sends her plummeting to the earth to learn, to experience, to love.
